Devoted readers of this publication will recall this vintage photograph which appeared here years ago, but has since been framed and so it’s worth a second take. We framed it so it wouldn’t wind up in the trash like most everything in our offices. Good lord, this is a piece of scat—rather a piece of Scat Noir history and should be treated as such. These gifted gents gave this publication its split personality. (Half the members wondered why there were no women on board.) Of course it was the 19th century and Victorian values ruled the world. That’s why the board meetings usually adjourned early so members could get to the brothel before returning home for dinner.
